Vapes and Easter Socials – The Importance of Manners and Moderation

The Easter holiday weekend is just around the corner, which means that people are going to start making plans for social events. Whether in spending time with family or friends, you need to make sure that you are a socially considerate vaper.

If you are new to the concept of vaping, then you probably don’t know what to do to be socially considerate, and this might be the first big event that you’re getting into. Obviously, because we want to make sure that you have a positive experience with vapes and don’t wind up arguing with family members for the entire day, we’re going to do a quick recap on the rules regarding social etiquette.

Try and Limit Your Usage

There’s nothing wrong with smoking a vape device. In fact, inherently, it’s safer for you than normal cigarettes. The problem is that you have to be careful about how you are doing it. If you just smoke constantly, then not only are you going to come across as antisocial, but you’re also going to upset other people at the event.

The key is definitely moderation in social settings. You don’t have to use it constantly, and some people recommend that you maybe give it a break for an hour or two in between uses. The last thing you want to do is put across a bad image of vaping by constantly stepping outside to use your device.

Don’t Smoke Indoors, Ever

Good manners are key for smoking an electronic cigarette. No matter what anybody tells you, no matter how familiar you are with the property, even if it’s the house you grew up in, you don’t smoke indoors. Always go outside and use your device, even if it’s just standing on the back doorstep for five minutes.

The logic is pretty simple. People don’t want a face full of vapour. Not everybody is comfortable with it, some people won’t like the smell, and others may have respiratory conditions that you could unintentionally aggravate by smoking indoors. It’s the fastest way to look like a jerk, so don’t do it.

Keep It Simple

The best thing you can do if you’re going to go to a social event and smoke is to keep it simple. You don’t need to show up with six different types of liquid and a complicated device with a bunch of dials in settings. Just keep it simple and stick to the basics. You only need one simple device and a liquid to get you through the day.
